- Stop or control the active source when it is safe to do so.
- Do not rely on surface dryness if water may have entered cavities.
- Remove standing water through appropriate water-damage procedures.
- Watch for odor, staining, deterioration, and visible growth.
- Call for remediation guidance if mold is discovered or strongly suspected.
Water restoration and mold remediation are related but different
